What to expect at your first appointment
We take our time getting to know your concerns, your dental history, and your long-term goals. During your new patient appointment (typically about 90–120 minutes), you’ll receive a personalized exam, x-rays, and cleaning, all at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

Dr. Maxwell Hogue, DMD
Owner Dentist
Since 2020, Dr. Maxwell Hogue has been proud to serve the mid-Michigan community as a trusted and compassionate dental professional. Originally from Port Sanilac, Michigan, he brings a warm, small-town approach to care: treating every patient like family and making comfort a top priority. Dr. Max earned his undergraduate degree from Central Michigan University in 2016 before completing his Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Detroit Mercy in 2020. His path into dentistry was shaped early on by his uncle, Dr. Karl Hogue, whose dedication to patient-centered care inspired him. In taking over the practice, Dr. Max is honored to continue that legacy while bringing fresh energy and modern techniques to the office.
Dr. Max enjoys working with patients of all ages and backgrounds, whether he’s helping someone overcome dental anxiety, restoring a confident smile, or building long-term oral health habits. He believes communication, empathy, and education are key to creating a positive dental experience, and strives to ensure every visit feels welcoming and stress-free.
Outside the office, you’ll most likely find Dr. Max spending quality time with his two dogs, Nyx and Ozzie, who keep life full of fun and adventure. His hobbies include music, theater, and video games, along with traveling the world whenever he gets the chance. Above all, he values time with family and friends and enjoys connecting with people both inside and outside the practice.

Dr. Albert Trieu
Dentist
For Dr. Albert Trieu, dentistry is about combining advanced clinical skills with a genuine commitment to his community. A native of Rochester Hills, Dr. Trieu is proud to call Midland home and serve the neighbors he cares about.
Dr. Trieu’s journey in education began at the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor, where he completed his undergraduate studies in 2013 (Go Blue!). He went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from Detroit Mercy Dental School in 2020.
Dr. Trieu believes that learning never stops. To provide the highest standard of care, he has pursued extensive continuing education in cosmetic dentistry, implant placement, and Invisalign. Uniquely, his advanced training also encompasses facial esthetics and orofacial pain, allowing him to take a holistic approach to patient comfort and confidence. He is a current member of the American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association, and a former member of the American Academy of Clear Aligners.
When he isn’t transforming smiles, Dr. Trieu stays active by playing tennis or hitting the slopes for some snowboarding. He also has a passion for the culinary arts and enjoys cooking at home. He resides in Midland with his wife and their two adorable cats. A true Michigander through and through, Dr. Trieu is a die-hard fan of the Detroit Lions and the Michigan Wolverines.
Above all, Dr. Trieu is dedicated to creating a welcoming, stress-free environment where patients feel treated like family. He looks forward to meeting you, listening to your goals, and helping you achieve a healthy, confident smile.
Dr. Michael Su
Dentist
Dr. Michael Su brings a disciplined, detail-driven approach to dentistry shaped by a career that blends rigorous training with a commitment to constant improvement. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry in 2019 after completing his undergraduate studies at Penn State University in 2013.
As a general dentist, he values the breadth of the field because it allows him to work across multiple specialties rather than confining himself to one lane. His practice includes oral surgery, implant dentistry, endodontics, cosmetic procedures, and pediatric care. He pairs technical precision with clear communication, empathy, and a genuine enjoyment of working closely with patients to help them feel heard, understood, and confident in their care.
Outside the office, his life reflects the same balance of discipline and curiosity. He enjoys cooking, experimenting with new foods, and spending time with his girlfriend and their Alaskan malamute, Sully. He also competes in the precision rifle series, a sport that reinforces the skills he relies on as a clinician: controlled focus, accountability for every action, and the willingness to refine technique through deliberate practice.
Whether he’s treating a patient, solving a complex clinical problem, or dialing in a difficult shot, he brings the same mindset: understand the fundamentals, put in the work, and keep raising the standard.
